Job summary

The Cynergy Group is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a medium-sized nursing care home in Dover, Kent. You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure safe, compassionate care, and maintain the service’s Good CQC rating.

You'll lead clinical and care teams, manage budgets, recruitment and governance, and drive continuous improvement. This is a permanent, full-time role offering up to £80,000 plus a 20% bonus and the autonomy to shape the home's culture and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience as Registered Manager or Nursing Home Manager.
• Strong understanding of CQC regulations and safeguarding.

About the Home

We are recruiting on behalf of an established care provider seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a medium-sized nursing care home in Dover, Kent.

The home currently holds a Good CQC rating and provides nursing care to residents in a supportive, person-centred environment.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and operational performance of the nursing home, ensuring residents receive the highest standards of safe, effective and compassionate care.

You will provide strong leadership to the clinical and care teams, promoting a positive working culture while ensuring the home continues to meet regulatory requirements and deliver excellent outcomes for residents.

About You

We are looking for an experienced and commercially aware Registered Manager with a strong background in nursing home management and a proven ability to lead successful care services.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Nursing Home Manager within an elderly nursing care setting.
• A strong understanding of CQC regulations, clinical governance and safeguarding requirements.
• Proven experience managing a nursing care home.
• A successful track record of maintaining or improving CQC ratings and care standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness, including experience managing budgets, occupancy and staffing expenditure.
• The ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams.
• A recognised management qualification, such as an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management, or equivalent.

A nursing qualification would be advantageous, although experienced non-nurse managers with a strong nursing home background are encouraged to apply.
