Job summary

Circle Health Group’s Woodlands Hospital in Darlington is seeking a Registered Nurse (Adult) to join the Wards team on a permanent, full-time basis (37.5 hours per week). The role requires covering a flexible shift pattern and delivering high-quality nursing care in line with patient care plans.

The ideal candidate will be NMC registered, with clinical experience, strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Demonstrable experience in a clinical healthcare setting.
• Good understanding of clinical governance and patient safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in IT systems used for patient records and care planning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols.
• Assess patient needs, prioritise care, and update care plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation, including assessments, care plans, and observations.
• Communicate with patients, families, and carers, providing information and support.
• Support patients in understanding their condition, treatments, and recovery processes.
• Work with colleagues to provide high-quality, safe care.
• Identify and report incidents and safeguarding concerns according to hospital procedures.

Salary: Up to £31,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for an Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in theWards department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols.
• Assess patient needs, prioritise care, and update care plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate, legible, and timely nursing documentation, including assessments, care plans, and observations.
• Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and carers, providing information, reassurance, and emotional support.
• Support patients in understanding their condition, treatments, and recovery processes.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide high-quality, safe, and efficient care.
• Identify and report incidents, safeguarding concerns, and potential risks in line with hospital procedures.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Demonstrable experience working in a clinical healthcare setting.
• Good understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in IT systems used for patient records, documentation, and care planning.
