Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join Rayne Ward at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford. You will provide in-patient care across colorectal, urology, gynaecology, and other surgical areas, 37.5 hours per week, days/nights/bank holidays.

The role offers development support and opportunities to learn new skills while delivering patient-centred care. The successful candidate will be NMC registered with the ability to communicate effectively with patients

Qualifications

• NMC registered
• Acute setting RN with minimum 1 year experience

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective care following NMC guidance and Trust policies.
• Organise and deliver individualised patient care addressing physical, social and psychological needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients, relatives and the MDT to ensure accurate care.
• Support the Senior Charge Nurse to maintain high standards of patient care with dignity and privacy.
• Assist in implementing Nursing strategies and participation in evidence-based practice.
• Delegate appropriately to health care assistants, student nurses and other learners.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans.
