Job summary

Wye Valley NHS Trust in Hereford is seeking a Staff Nurse Grade Band 5 on a permanent contract. You will work on Frome ward, a 35-bed General Surgical ward, caring for acutely unwell patients and coordinating with the Critical Care Outreach team and therapy colleagues. The post requires a UK NMC PIN (or awaiting registration).

37.5 hours per week with long day/night shifts (full time or part time). Salary ranges from £32,073 to £39,043 per annum, pro rata for part-time posts, and closing date

Qualifications

• Registered with the NMC as a nurse.
• UK PIN required or awaiting registration.
• Experience in general surgical wards preferred.

Responsibilities

• To facilitate multidisciplinary patient-centred care as named nurse/team leader.
• To assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Lead ward/department in the absence of the senior nurse.
• Participate in supervision and teaching.
