Job summary

Cygnet Afon Las is opening a new 15-bed neurocognitive service for men in Corwen, Denbighshire. We are seeking a confident RMN/RNLD/RGN to deliver high-quality care and participate in the service development from launch in early 2027.

The role requires current Pin Number and a compassionate approach to patient recovery. You will work under NMC guidelines, support audits, and contribute to CPD, with progression opportunities within the region.

Qualifications

• Newly Qualified or Experienced RMN, RNLD or RGN with a current Pin Number.
• Open, compassionate, honest & resilient.
• Capable of maintaining documentation and undertaking audits.
• Well informed of the Mental Health Act 1983 & understanding of current nursing practices.
• Able to deputise in a clinical lead role.

Responsibilities

• Produce outstanding written reports based on nursing assessments and observations.
• Work with management to develop the service, audit, and improve quality.
• Attend training and CPD to enhance knowledge and nursing practice.
• Maintain individual care plans in collaboration with residents, families and healthcare professionals.
• Administer prescribed medicines following procedures and guidelines.

We are looking for a confident, compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RMN or RNLD or RGN) with a passion for delivering outstanding care to join our team at our new service to open in early 2027, Cygnet Afon Las.

Cygnet Afon Las is a brand-new service scheduled to open in early 2027. Located in Corwen, Denbighshire, the hospital will provide a 15-bed neurocognitive service for men, delivering specialist care and support for individuals with complex needs. The service will accept referrals from the community, as well as from neurosurgical and neurorehabilitation services, offering a clear pathway for assessment, treatment and recovery.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments and observations
• Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, and improve quality
• Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing
• Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals.
• Administer prescribed medicines with Healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines.
