Job summary

Cygnet Group is recruiting a Registered Nurse (RMN/RNLD/RGN) to join Cygnet Afon Las, a brand-new 15-bed neurocognitive service for men opening in early 2027 in Corwen. The role focuses on delivering high-quality care under NMC guidelines, with support for ongoing training and professional development.

You will conduct nursing assessments, develop care plans, administer medicines, and work with the team to improve quality and patient recovery.

Qualifications

  • NMC pin required.
  • Strong communication and compassionate care.
  • Experience in neuropsychiatric or longer-term care settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Produce outstanding nursing reports based on assessments and observations.
  • Collaborate with management to develop the service and drive quality audits.
  • Attend all training and CPD to enhance knowledge and nursing practice.
  • Maintain care plans in line with NMC guidelines with residents, relatives and professionals.
  • Administer prescribed medicines following Healthcare procedures and guidelines.

We are looking for a confident, compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RMN or RNLD or RGN) with a passion for delivering outstanding care to join our team at our new service to open in early 2027, Cygnet Afon Las.

Cygnet Afon Las is a brand-new service scheduled to open in early 2027. Located in Corwen, Denbighshire, the hospital will provide a 15-bed neurocognitive service for men, delivering specialist care and support for individuals with complex needs. The service will accept referrals from the community, as well as from neurosurgical and neurorehabilitation services, offering a clear pathway for assessment, treatment and recovery.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments and observations
  • Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, and improve quality
  • Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing
  • Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer prescribed medicines with Healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines.

What We're Looking For:

  • Open, compassionate, honest & resilient
  • Newly Qualified or Experienced RMN, RNLD or RGN with a current Pin Number
  • Capable to maintain documentation and undertake audits
  • Well informed of the Mental Health Act 1983 & have an understanding of latest nursing practices
  • Able to deputise in a clinical lead role
  • Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage & reduce risk
  • Helping to empower & support service user independence.
