Job summary

Gold Care Homes is seeking a Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin to lead the care team at The New Deanery in Braintree. The role focuses on delivering high-quality care, wound management, and comprehensive resident support.

You will supervise staff, maintain accurate records, and participate in staff development and audits as required by policy and budgets. Competitive hourly rate reflects long-term commitment and professional development.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid NMC pin and be a Registered Nurse.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with accurate reporting.

Responsibilities

• Achieve a high standard of care.
• Lead the care team to deliver outcomes for residents.
• Maintain effective communications and accurate reporting to senior staff.
• Manage wound care.
• Oversee medicines ordering, administration and recording.
• Provide personal care including washing, dressing and toileting.
• Offer physical, emotional and spiritual comfort.
• Supervise and appraise staff within the unit.
• Implement changes in procedures with the Manager.
• Assess prospective residents.

We are looking for Registered Nurses with a valid NMC pin number to share our mission:

What does the role involve?

• Achieve a high standard of care.
• Leading the care team to deliver outcomes for the people that we support
• Maintain effective communications, both verbal and written, making accurate reports on residents and inform other members of the senior care team of day to day changes.
• Wound management
• Ensure that care procedures are carried out according to policy.
• Be responsible for the ordering, administration and recording of medicines according to policy and statutory requirements.
• Provide appropriate personal care for residents e.g., washing and dressing and toileting.
• Provide physical, emotional and spiritual comfort.
• Carry out Staff Supervision and Appraisals with Team/Unit allocated.
• Implement changes in routine and/or procedures as agreed with the Manager.
• Assessment of perspective clients/residents.
• Completion of the duty rota as necessary.
• Carry out Internal Quality Audits as agreed with the Manager.
• Participate fully in the training and development of all grades of staff.
• Assist Manager to work within agreed budgets - Mainly Deputy Manager responsibilities
