Job summary

Gold Care Homes seeks a Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin for The New Deanery in Braintree. You will lead the care team, ensure high standards of care, and maintain accurate resident reports while upholding policy-compliant medicines administration.

You will provide compassionate personal care, support residents’ physical and emotional needs, and participate in staff training and appraisals. A rewarding role within a thriving team awaits.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC pin.
• Experience in a care home setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of care for residents.
• Lead the care team to deliver positive outcomes.
• Maintain accurate verbal and written communications and reports.
• Manage wound care and wound documentation.
• Ensure care procedures follow policy and statutory requirements.
• Oversee medicines administration and recording.
• Provide personal care: washing, dressing and toileting.
• Offer physical, emotional and spiritual support.
• Supervise and appraise staff within the team.
• Implement changes in routine or procedures with the Manager.
• Assess potential residents and complete duty rosters as needed.
• Conduct internal quality audits with the Manager.
• Support training and development of all staff levels.
• Assist the Manager with budgeting duties where required.

We are looking for Registered Nurses with a valid NMC pin number to share our mission:

What does the role involve?

• Achieve a high standard of care.
• Leading the care team to deliver outcomes for the people that we support
• Maintain effective communications, both verbal and written, making accurate reports on residents and inform other members of the senior care team of day to day changes.
• Wound management
• Ensure that care procedures are carried out according to policy.
• Be responsible for the ordering, administration and recording of medicines according to policy and statutory requirements.
• Provide appropriate personal care for residents e.g., washing and dressing and toileting.
• Provide physical, emotional and spiritual comfort.
• Carry out Staff Supervision and Appraisals with Team/Unit allocated.
• Implement changes in routine and/or procedures as agreed with the Manager.
• Assessment of perspective clients/residents.
• Completion of the duty rota as necessary.
• Carry out Internal Quality Audits as agreed with the Manager.
• Participate fully in the training and development of all grades of staff.
• Assist Manager to work within agreed budgets - Mainly Deputy Manager responsibilities
