Job summary

St Clare Hospice is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Community Hospice Services, delivering specialist palliative and end-of-life care to patients in their homes across West Essex and East Hertfordshire.

You will manage a varied caseload, undertake holistic assessments and develop care plans, while working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care and support for families.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and working in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrates strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
• Takes a holistic approach to patient care.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and colleagues.
• Compassionate, adaptable and emotionally resilient.
• Enjoys working independently while remaining part of a supportive team.
• Experience in community nursing, palliative or end-of-life care is advantageous but not essential.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are essential.

Job description

Title: Registered Nurse - Community Hospice Services (Days)

Job location: St Clare Hospice, Hastingwood, CM17 9JX, CM17 9JX, United Kingdom

Advertised salary: £32,610.90 - £38,762.85 per annum, inclusive of a High Cost Area Allowance (depending on experience), based on full-time hours (pro rata for part-time hours) Plus Enhancements.

Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week. Full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Shift Pattern: 08:00-18:00, Monday to Sunday

Location: Community-based across West Essex and East Hertfordshire

Additional enhancements:

• 30% enhancement for Saturdays
• 60% enhancement for Sundays and Bank Holidays

About You

You will be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and experience working in a clinical setting.
