Job summary

Mariposa Care Group is seeking a Registered Nurse for our St Lukes care home in Leeds. You will lead by example, provide high-quality nursing care, and support a compassionate, person-centred culture for residents.

You’ll report to the Deputy Manager/Clinical Lead and play a key role in team leadership, clinical governance, and delivering excellent care in a day-shift setting at St Lukes, Calverley.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active NMC PIN.
• Experience in elderly care or care home setting.
• Ability to lead and support a care team.
• Safe and compassionate patient-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to manage the care team and ensure high standards of care.
• Provide person-centred nursing care and interventions as needed.
• Motivate and support the team to ensure smooth home operations.
• Act as role model for clinical and care team members and uphold best practices.
• Report to Deputy Manager/Clinical Lead on important matters.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading by example- You’ll proactively manage the care team, ensuring the highest standard of care and support is given to our residents.
• Person-centred care- Promote a culture of personalised care that always puts our residents first.
• Excellent nursing care- providing nursing care and interventions where needed.
• Team leadership- Motivate and support your team, ensuring everyone contributes to the smooth running of the home.
• Be a role model- Act as a role model for other clinical and care team members, always striving for excellence.
• Reporting- You’ll report directly to the Deputy Manager/Clinical Lead, keeping them in the loop on any important matters.

What we’re looking for:

• A qualified nurse (RGN with an active NMC PIN)
• Someone with a genuine passion for elderly care and significant experience working in a care home or similar environment.
