What does the role involve?

1. Achieving a high standard of care.
2. Leading the care team to deliver positive outcomes for residents.
3. Maintaining effective communication, both verbal and written, including accurate reporting on residents and informing other members of the senior care team of daily changes.
4. Ensuring care procedures are carried out according to policy.
5. Managing the ordering, administration, and recording of medicines in accordance with policy and statutory requirements.
6. Providing appropriate personal care for residents, such as washing, dressing, and toileting.
7. Offering physical, emotional, and spiritual comfort.
8. Carrying out staff supervision and appraisals within the allocated team or unit.
9. Implementing routine and procedural changes as agreed with the Manager.
10. Assessing prospective clients/residents.
11. Completing the duty rota as needed.
12. Conducting internal quality audits as agreed with the Manager.
13. Participating in the training and development of all staff grades.
14. Assisting the Manager in working within the budget, primarily in Deputy Manager responsibilities.
