What does the role involve?

1. Achieve a high standard of care.
2. Lead the care team to deliver positive outcomes for residents.
3. Maintain effective verbal and written communication, including accurate reports on residents and informing other senior care team members of daily changes.
4. Ensure care procedures are carried out according to policy.
5. Be responsible for the ordering, administration, and recording of medicines according to policy and statutory requirements.
6. Provide personal care for residents, such as washing, dressing, and toileting.
7. Offer physical, emotional, and spiritual comfort.
8. Conduct staff supervision and appraisals within the allocated team/unit.
9. Implement routine and procedural changes as agreed with the Manager.
10. Assess prospective clients/residents.
11. Complete the duty rota as necessary.
12. Carry out internal quality audits as directed by the Manager.
13. Participate in training and staff development.
14. Assist the Manager in working within agreed budgets, mainly in Deputy Manager responsibilities.
