TRC has teamed up with a well-established care provider specializing in person-centred care for adults and children with complex care needs. We are seeking an excellent Paediatric Nurse to cover their clients in the Northeast of England.

We are looking for a registered nurse with experience in complex needs such as PEG, tracheostomy, and brain injuries. The role involves leading assessments of new referrals, reviewing current service user care plans, and assisting in the recruitment and interviewing of potential new staff.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the clinical needs of paediatric clients.
2. Deliver theoretical and practical training to Complex Health Care Assistants.
3. Ensure care assistants are competent in delegated tasks.
4. Collaborate with the Operations team to maintain documentation.
5. Visit clients to ensure high standards of care, safety, and satisfaction.
6. Support the Clinical Lead with documentation, practice, and training updates.
7. Liaise with external professionals, following NICE guidance and best practices.
8. Ensure compliance with CQC standards and liaise with the Registered Manager for continuous improvement.
9. Assist in pre-assessments of new clients.
10. Review and update care plans and risk assessments.
11. Participate in on-call services, meetings, and training sessions.
12. Liaise with CCG/Commissioners and external professionals to deliver optimal care.
13. Provide clinical support for assigned clients.
14. Ensure staff comply with mandatory and specialist training.
15. Conduct meet and greets, risk assessments, reviews, and audits.
16. Maintain accurate medication records and complete audits.

Requirements:

• Active nursing pin specific to children’s care.
• Own a car and hold a valid driving license.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• Experience working with complex needs, in the community or fast-paced settings.
