Job summary

A maternity leave cover nursing post at Chertsey Parklands Care Home, part of Avery Healthcare Group, seeks a registered nurse to act as person in charge, stepping in for the manager and overseeing medication, dressings, catheters and tube feeding while guiding care staff.

You will ensure high standards of care through accurate assessment and care planning, inform families and GPs of changes, and maintain DBS compliance and UK work eligibility throughout the assignment.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration is required.
• DBS disclosure check must be passed.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK is required.
• At least two years' experience in care settings is required.

Responsibilities

• Act as person in charge, standing in for the Manager when required.
• Carry out nursing tasks including medication distribution, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic conditions.
• Deploy and supervise care staff so that residents receive required care.

Shifts run from 7am to 7:30pm. Applicants need a First Level qualification, current NMC registration and at least two years' experience, and must pass a DBS check and prove their right to work.
