Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Registered Nurse at Albion Court Care Home in Birmingham to act as person in charge and support the care team. You will oversee nursing tasks, ensure high standards, and deputise for the manager when needed.

Essential: current NMC registration, minimum two years in care, DBS check, and right to work in the UK. DBS cost may be covered by the employer.

Qualifications

• First Level nursing qualification.

Responsibilities

• Act as person in charge, standing in for the manager as required.
• Ensure high standards of care for residents.
• Carry out nursing tasks including medication distribution, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic conditions.
• Deploy and supervise care staff so tasks are completed and residents receive required care.
• Advise families and GPs of changes in condition that give cause for concern, keeping them involved in choices about ongoing care.
• Carry out accurate assessment and care planning.

Job description

Registered Nurse post at Albion Court Care Home, one of the elderly care homes run by Avery Healthcare Group. The nurse acts as person in charge, standing in for the manager when needed, and oversees nursing tasks and the care team on duty. The deputising role in the manager's absence sets this apart from a standard nursing post. Current NMC registration, two years' care experience and post-basic study are required, along with a DBS check and proof of right to work.
