Job summary

Woodland Manor Care Home in Chalfont St Peter is seeking a passionate Registered Nurse for a 48-hour contract to cover night shifts from 8pm to 8am, with alternate weekends. As a Registered Nurse on our team, you will care for our residents like you would care for your own family, looking after their physical, psychological and social needs and ensuring that they receive the highest standard of care.

You will create a safe and supportive environment for our residents who have a range of physical and mental needs. Relying on your professional judgement, you will make critical clinical decisions. You can expect a wide range of responsibilities, from developing tailored care plans to administering medicine safely and delivering excellence across everything you do.

About you

Cheerful, caring and compassionate by nature, with good reading, writing and communication skills, you will have a flexible approach to working shifts. You will be passionate about care and making a positive difference to the lives of older people.

You will have a passion to mentor and share your knowledge with your Colleagues. You will understand the importance of effective communication, both verbally and written, and role model professional behaviours.

You will be a qualified RGN or RMN with a valid NMC pin number and a good knowledge of the most up to date clinical practices. It would be useful if you have experience as a staff nurse or registered nurse in a care home environment, but this is not essential. We also believe in giving you a great career pathway and we are committed to supporting you on your journey.

The successful candidate will be subject to the provision of satisfactory references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and they must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
