Job summary

Hodge Hill Grange Care Home in Birmingham is seeking a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) to join our clinical team on a night shift, 22 hours per week. You will deliver high quality, clinically led care, maintain safe practice and support residents with dignity and independence.

You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medications, lead shifts, mentor care staff and work closely with families and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN (RGN or RMN).
• Strong clinical judgement and decision making.
• Comfortable leading shifts and supporting a care team.

About Hodge Hill Grange Care Home

Hodge Hill Grange Care Home is a 52 bed care home located in Birmingham, West Midlands. Providing high quality care and support in a welcoming environment, the home offers colleagues the opportunity to work as part of a dedicated team, making a real difference to the lives of Residents every day.

Registered Nurse RGN or RMN Contract

• Contracted to 22 hours per week
• Night shift
• Paid [PVG/DBS], pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear and supported progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles, within a well led, professional environment where your skills are recognised and developed.

Role Overview

As Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering high quality, clinically led care while taking responsibility for maintaining safe, effective and person centred practice across your shift. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring standards are upheld and care is delivered consistently in line with best practice.

You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication and monitor changes in physical and mental health. Leading shifts, you will support and guide the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs, ensuring continuity and quality of care at all times.

Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will use your judgement and experience to maintain high standards, ensure accurate documentation and contribute to a well organised, professional environment where dignity, independence and wellbeing are always prioritised.

What We Are Looking For

• Registered Nurse RGN or RMN with an active NMC PIN
• Strong clinical judgement and decision making skills
• Confidence in leading shifts and supporting a team
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, however we welcome nurses from a range of backgrounds who are keen to develop within this environment
