Job summary

River Court Care Home in Watford provides residential, nursing and dementia care in a welcoming setting. As a Registered Nurse (RGN) you will deliver clinically led, person-centred care, assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medications and monitor health, while leading the care team to maintain safety and quality across shifts.

About River Court Care Home

River Court Care Home is a 120 bed care home located in a peaceful residential area of Watford, Hertfordshire. Providing residential, nursing and dementia care, the home offers a welcoming environment with bright living spaces, comfortable communal areas, landscaped gardens and accessible bedrooms. With a strong family atmosphere, colleagues work together to provide high quality, person centred care and support Residents to enjoy an active and fulfilling daily life.

Registered Nurse RGN Contract

• £21.28 to £21.78 per hour
• Contracted to [XX] hours per week
• Paid [PVG/DBS], pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear and supported progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles, within a well led, professional environment where your skills are recognised and developed.

Role Overview

As Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering high quality, clinically led care while taking responsibility for maintaining safe, effective and person centred practice across your shift. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring standards are upheld and care is delivered consistently in line with best practice.
You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication and monitor changes in physical and mental health. Leading shifts, you will support and guide the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs, ensuring continuity and quality of care at all times.
Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will use your judgement and experience to maintain high standards, ensure accurate documentation and contribute to a well organised, professional environment where dignity, independence and wellbeing are always prioritised.

What We Are Looking For

• Registered Nurse RGN with an active NMC PIN
• Strong clinical judgement and decision making skills
• Confidence in leading shifts and supporting a team
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, however we welcome nurses from a range of backgrounds who are keen to develop within this environment
