Job summary

Westerton Care Home, part of Care Concern Group in the United Kingdom, is recruiting a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) to provide clinically led care. You will lead shifts, ensure safe, person-centred practice and supervise a care team during each shift.

The role offers progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management positions within a supportive, well-led environment that values dignity and wellbeing for residents.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active NMC PIN (RGN or RMN).
• Strong clinical judgement and decision-making abilities.
• Capable of leading shifts and supporting a care team.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Experience in a care home is beneficial but other backgrounds are welcome to develop here.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, clinically led care and maintain safe, person-centred practice.
• Assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication.
• Lead shifts, support and guide the care team, and make informed clinical decisions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and liaise with families and healthcare professionals.

Job description

Registered Nurse RGN or RMN Contract

• £20.55 per hour
• Contracted to 22 - 44 hours per week
• Paid PVG, Paid NMC, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear and supported progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles, within a well led, professional environment where your skills are recognised and developed.

Role Overview

As Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering high quality, clinically led care while taking responsibility for maintaining safe, effective and person centred practice across your shift. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring standards are upheld and care is delivered consistently in line with best practice.

You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication and monitor changes in physical and mental health. Leading shifts, you will support and guide the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs, ensuring continuity and quality of care at all times.

Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will use your judgement and experience to maintain high standards, ensure accurate documentation and contribute to a well organised, professional environment where dignity, independence and wellbeing are always prioritised.

What We Are Looking For

• Registered Nurse RGN or RMN with an active NMC PIN
• Strong clinical judgement and decision making skills
• Confidence in leading shifts and supporting a team
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, however we welcome nurses from a range of backgrounds who are keen to develop within this environment
