Job summary

Priory Group in Preston is recruiting a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Nursing Department on a permanent, full-time basis. The role involves delivering high-quality, person-centred care within an acute hospital setting and supporting NHS patients to be repatriated locally where possible.

You will work as part of a compassionate MDT, completing assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation, while ensuring safety and wellbeing throughout the patient journey.

Qualifications

• Registered Mental Health Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
• Experience of delivering safe, person-centred care within a mental health setting.
• Good understanding of risk assessment, care planning and medication management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care to patients throughout their recovery journey.
• Complete assessments, care plans, risk assessments and clinical documentation, ensuring these are regularly reviewed.
• Administer medication safely and monitor patients' physical and mental health.
• Work closely with the MDT, patients and families to support treatment plans and positive outcomes.
• Support patients with therapeutic interventions, daily activities and their recovery goals.
• Respond appropriately to changes in patients' presentation, escalating concerns where required.
• Contribute to a safe, supportive and therapeutic ward environment.
