Job summary

Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead the new Supported Lodgings and Supported Accommodation Service, developing and embedding provision in partnership with the National House Project. The role focuses on strategic leadership, day-to-day management and ensuring high-quality, person-centred support for care-experienced young people in Birmingham.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) recognised under the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
• Recognised management qualification at Level 5 (or equivalent).
• Significant experience of managing services for children and young people, with safeguarding, regulatory compliance and quality assurance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational delivery, development and registration of the Supported Lodgings Scheme.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership across Supported Accommodation and Supported Lodgings services.
• Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, family-based accommodation and support for vulnerable young people.
• Promote child-centred practice and implement safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Manage staff, budgets and resources to ensure efficient service operation.
• Contribute as a member of the service management team and support wider development of accommodation services.
• Drive implementation of service development plans to achieve positive outcomes for young people.
• Undertake the role of Registered Manager upon registration and ensure regulatory compliance.

Education
