Job summary

Universal Care Group is launching a brand-new Supported Accommodation service in Walsall for young people aged 16–18. We seek a Registered Supported Accommodation Manager to shape culture, lead a team, and deliver high-quality, safeguarding-focused care from day one.

You will drive quality assurance, partner with local authorities and Ofsted, and develop personalised support plans to promote independence. A Level 5 Diploma and managerial experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma or equivalent required for registration
• Minimum 1 year management experience in similar settings
• Minimum 2 years working with vulnerable 16–18 year olds
• Strong knowledge of England regulations and QA standards
• Excellent leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the supported accommodation service
• Lead quality assurance and prepare for inspections (Ofsted)
• Develop person-centred support plans promoting independence
• Ensure safeguarding and risk management procedures are followed
• Maintain accurate records and regulatory reporting
• Lead recruitment, induction, supervision and staff development
• Represent the service with authorities and partners
