Crooton ltd in Bury St. Edmunds is seeking a Service Manager to lead two learning-disabilities residential services, delivering person-centred support and maintaining high-quality care.

You will be supported by a 30-hour Assistant Manager and an on-site team, with standard hours Monday to Friday and occasional weekend cover as needed.

Salary ranges from £27,795 to £30,906 depending on location, with a generous pension, employee discounts, and funded leadership development.

The Role

As the Service Manager, you will shape and deliver high-quality, person-centred support

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and inspire a dedicated support team to cultivate a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
• CQC Compliance & Excellence: Maintain full CQC compliance, drive continuous quality improvement, and champion safety and standards.
• Operational Management: Oversee service budgets, staff rotas, and daily operations.
• Partnership Building: Develop strong, trusting relationships with families, local commissioners, health professionals, and partner agencies.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven Leadership: Experience managing or supervising teams within health and social care (learning disability experience strongly preferred).
• Regulatory Knowledge: Sound working knowledge of CQC fundamental standards, safeguarding, and person-centred care practices.
• Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or a commitment to achieve it with our full support).
• Values-Led Mindset: Exceptional communication skills, practical problem-solving ability, and a genuine passion for advocating for the rights of people with learning disabilities.
