Job summary

OakGar Recruitment is seeking a Registered Manager to oversee a brand-new children’s home in Bretby, Derbyshire. The role focuses on delivering high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and building a supportive team culture.

You will lead safeguarding, Ofsted readiness, budgets, and partnership with families and external teams to improve outcomes. The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or working towards it, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience managing registered or supported living services, including appraisals, coaching and budgeting.
• Strong communication and people management capabilities with knowledge of Ofsted regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a registered children's home, ensuring person-centred care and effective team leadership.
• Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
• Oversee safeguarding, risk assessments, and GDPR/data protection practices.
• Develop and monitor placement and care planning in collaboration with families and partner agencies.
• Manage budgets and staffing rotas in line with regulatory requirements.
