Job summary

Placr Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Registered Manager to lead an established domiciliary care service in Hove. You will be responsible for day-to-day management, regulatory compliance and delivering high-quality person-centred care for about 75 clients.

With a team of around 40 staff, this is a full-time permanent role offering ongoing professional development and potential future service expansion.

Qualifications

• Previous Registered Manager experience within adult social care (domiciliary or homecare).
• Strong knowledge of CQC requirements, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
• Proven experience leading and developing care teams.
• A Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Excellent organisational, communication and decision-making skills.
• Experience managing care quality, operational challenges and competing priorities.
• Genuine commitment to compassionate, person-centred care.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Right to work in the UK and Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for day-to-day management and operational performance of the domiciliary care service.
• Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and safeguarding procedures.
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of CareGivers and office-based staff.
• Oversee care planning, risk assessments, quality assurance and service delivery.
• Ensure clients receive safe, responsive and person-centred care.
• Manage staff recruitment, induction, supervision, performance and development.
• Maintain relationships with clients, families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
• Respond to incidents, complaints and safeguarding concerns.
• Monitor service performance and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Managing Director for operational objectives and future development.
