Job summary

Horizon Care Ltd is seeking a Registered Manager for our Midlands children’s residential homes. You will lead a warm, safe home and ensure high-quality care, while guiding a dedicated team to achieve positive outcomes for young people.

You’ll oversee budgets and resources, safeguard vulnerable children, and liaise with professionals to secure positive results. Relevant qualifications and a full UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in children's residential care management.
• Experience in LD/EBD settings desirable.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and related legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a warm, safe home for children and young people to achieve positive outcomes.

Horizon Care and Education have an opportunity for a Registered Managerto join our team to ensure exceptional care and a nurturing environment for our young people in our childrens home.

As aRegistered Manager, you will support young people in the many different aspects of daily life within our homes including:

• Manage a warm and friendly home that is a safe and supportive environment for our children and young people to achieve positive outcomes authentic to them
• Ensure compliance with the Childrens Homes Regulations and deliver high-quality care.
• Lead and inspire a motivated team, providing guidance and support .
• Manage budgets, resources, and the home environment.
• Safeguard young people and liaise with professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure the home's statement of purpose is fulfilled.

What we’re looking for from you:

• Extensive experience in children's residential care management.
• Experience working in a LD/EBD home is desirable.
• A strong understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• A commitment to providing a nurturing and empowering environment.
• You hold an NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma for the Children's and Young People's Workforce
• You also hold your QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Children's Servicesor be willing to undertake this qualification as part of the role.
• Hold a full UK driving license
