Job summary

Bright Selection Ltd is recruiting a Registered Manager for a four-bed children's home in South Benfleet, Essex. The role involves leading daily operations, safeguarding, regulatory compliance, staff development and high-quality care planning to support young people with learning disabilities, autism and developmental delay.

The successful candidate will have Level 5 Leadership and Management or Level 3/4 Children and Young People's Workforce/Residential Childcare, strong safeguarding knowledge

Qualifications

• Experience working in a children's residential home.
• Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, autism and complex communication needs.
• Strong safeguarding and regulatory knowledge.
• Experience leading and developing residential care teams.
• Level 5 Leadership and Management or Level 3/4 Children and Young People's Workforce/Residential Childcare.
• Ability to work flexibly according to the needs of the home.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the home.
• Maintain safeguarding and care standards.
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations.
• Lead, support and develop the staff team.
• Oversee care planning, risk assessments and outcomes.
• Build effective relationships with families, local authorities and professionals.
• Manage budgets, staffing levels and performance.
• Create a child-focused environment tailored to each young person.
