Job summary

Bright Selection Ltd is seeking an experienced Registered Manager for a five-bed children's residential home in Canvey Island, Essex. The role involves leading daily operations, safeguarding, and maintaining Ofsted Good status while driving service improvement.

You will oversee personal care planning, budgets, and staff development, with regional support and opportunities for progression within a trusted, established team.

Qualifications

• At least three years' experience as a Registered Manager within children's residential care.
• Experience managing a service rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted.
• Experience supporting children with learning disabilities.
• Strong safeguarding and regulatory knowledge.
• Level 5 Leadership and Management or Level 3/4 Children and Young People's Workforce/Residential Childcare.
• A consistent and child-focused leadership approach.

Responsibilities

• Leading the day-to-day operation of the home.
• Maintaining the home's Good Ofsted rating and driving continued improvement.
• Ensuring robust safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
• Leading, developing and supporting the established staff team.
• Overseeing personalised care planning and positive outcomes for young people.
• Managing budgets, rotas, recruitment and quality assurance.
• Working closely with regional management and therapeutic services.
