Job summary

Specialist SEND Group is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a new solo-placement children's home in Paignton, supporting one young person with complex needs. You will drive Ofsted registration from the outset, build your own team, and establish a trauma-informed, relationship-led care environment.

You will apply leadership and safeguarding expertise to oversee care planning, risk assessments, QA, and collaborate with social workers, commissioners, education and health

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent/in progress).
• Experience as Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or senior children's residential care role.
• Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted.

We're looking for:

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent/in progress)
• Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or in a senior children's residential care role
• Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted

Requirements:

• Excellent safeguarding and leadership skills

• Full UK driving licence
• Eligibility to register with Ofsted as a Registered Manager

Desirable: Experience taking a home through Ofsted registration, or working with solo placements / young people with complex needs.
