Job summary

Aspire Talent Network is seeking a Registered Manager to lead a children’s home in Castle Point, England. You will ensure Ofsted compliance, foster a child-centred, trauma-informed culture with clear values, and oversee staffing, rotas, and resources to deliver safe, consistent care.

You will manage referrals and admissions, create placement plans and risk assessments with education partners, promote physical and mental health, support education attainment, and represent the home in on-call

Responsibilities

• Leading the home in line with its Statement of Purpose, reviewing it at least annually and notifying Ofsted of changes
• Creating a child-centred, trauma-informed culture with clear values, high expectations and consistent practice
• Overseeing the day-to-day running of the home, including rotas, occupancy, premises and resources
• Taking part in the on-call rota and providing leadership in emergencies and out of hours
• Acting as the main link with the Responsible Individual, reporting on the home's performance, risks and development
• Ensuring every young person receives high-quality, therapeutic care that meets all nine Quality Standards in the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015
• Overseeing referrals, matching and impact risk assessments before any admission, and planning admissions and moves carefully
• Ensuring each young person has an up-to-date placement plan, risk assessment and behaviour support plan, written with them and their placing authority
• Promoting each young person's education, attendance and attainment, working closely with schools and virtual school heads
• Promoting physical, emotional and mental health, including registration with health services and safe medication management
• Making sure young people's views are heard and acted on, through house meetings, key work, advocacy and the complaints process

Your Responsibilities
