Agincare is seeking a Registered Manager for Supported Living Services across Taunton, Frome and Chard to lead safe, high‑quality, person‑centred support. You will ensure CQC compliance, deliver outcomes, and drive continuous improvement while managing budgets and stakeholder relationships.

You will recruit, develop and motivate teams, oversee risk and safeguarding, and partner with families, professionals and commissioners to enable people with learning disabilities and additional needs to live

Qualifications

Job description

A rare opportunity has arisen to join Agincare as our Registered Manager for Supported Living Services. This is more than a management role; it's a chance to lead services that empower people with learning disabilities and additional needs to live fulfilling, independent lives in their own homes and communities.

You’ll be responsible for delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred support across our services in Taunton, Frome and Chard, ensuring exceptional outcomes for the people we support while maintaining full CQC compliance and achieving operational, quality and financial objectives.

Working closely with the people we support, their families, commissioners and health and social care professionals, you’ll champion independence, choice and opportunity, helping individuals develop skills, build confidence and live the life they choose.

Based from our office in Castle Street, Taunton, you’ll regularly visit services across Taunton, Frome and Chard, providing visible leadership, supporting your teams to thrive and driving a culture of outstanding support and continuous improvement.

Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include

• Ensuring the people we support are at the heart of every decision, promoting independence, choice, dignity and community inclusion.
• Reviewing support arrangements and person-centred plans to ensure they continue to meet individuals’ changing needs, aspirations and outcomes.
• Working in partnership with families, advocates, social workers, healthcare professionals and commissioners to deliver outstanding support.
• Completing audits and quality assurance activities to monitor service performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensuring robust risk assessments and support plans are in place, balancing safety with positive risk-taking and independence.
• Leading, developing and motivating your teams through effective recruitment, induction, supervision, training and performance management.
• Managing staffing resources across the services, ensuring safe staffing levels, effective rota management and contingency planning.
• Overseeing safeguarding, incident management, complaints and regulatory notifications, ensuring concerns are investigated promptly and lessons learned are embedded into practice.
• Maintaining strong relationships with commissioners and stakeholders while supporting the growth, sustainability and financial performance of the services.

Skills/Experience Required

• A minimum of 12 months' right to work in the UK.
• Management qualification at QCF Level 4 (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards this qualification.
• QCF Level 4 or above in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
• Experience working within Supported Living, Learning Disabilities, Autism or Complex Care services.
• Demonstrable knowledge of supported living services, person-centred support and the CQC regulatory framework.
• Strong leadership, people management and team development skills.
• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.
• Sound understanding of safeguarding, risk management and quality assurance processes.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager within a Supported Living, Learning Disability, Autism or Community-Based Care service.
• Experience managing multiple services and dispersed teams.
• Experience working with commissioners, local authorities and other key stakeholders.
