Job summary

Agincare seeks an Ofsted Registered Manager for a brand-new Children’s LD residential home in York. You will lead, develop and support teams of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers, acting as a corporate parent to the children in our care.

You will ensure high-quality care and full regulatory compliance, building a safe, inclusive environment and establishing the service from the ground up. A Level 5 Diploma is required, with extensive residential care leadership experience.

Qualifications

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in childrens residential care, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and relevant legislation in childrens services.
  • Experience in planning and implementing care plans and maintaining documentation to a high standard in line with Childrens Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
  • Experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities who may display complex behaviours.
  • Experience leading Ofsted home inspections; Experience opening or developing new services is advantageous.
