Job summary

A residential care provider in Sheffield seeks an experienced Registered Manager to lead an 8-bed service for adults with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health needs. You will drive outstanding care, governance and delivery of person-centred support while managing a high-performing team and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key focus includes budgeting, rota management, quality improvement, audits and strong stakeholder engagement with families and commissioners.

Qualifications

• Management experience within adult social care.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Adult Care, or willingness to achieve it.
• Knowledge of social care legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health needs or Acquired Brain Injuries.
• Experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviours is relevant to the service.
• Budget, rota and performance management experience.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
• Experience driving quality and compliance through audits and action planning.
• Knowledge of therapeutic and non-aversive support approaches is desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence is desirable.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to lead an 8 bed residential service in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

The service supports adults with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health needs, as well as individuals with challenging behaviours. The service provides a safe, structured and person-centred environment, supporting individuals to build independence, develop daily living skills and achieve their personal goals.

We are looking for an experienced adult social care manager with strong leadership and people management skills, who is confident overseeing quality, compliance, performance and the day-to-day running of a residential service.

This is an opportunity to take full responsibility for a single residential home, working closely with the Area Operations Manager, colleagues, families, commissioners and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the people supported.
