Job summary

St Elizabeth's in Hertfordshire seeks an experienced Registered Manager to lead two Ofsted-registered children’s homes. You will manage a large team, drive high-quality care, and ensure safeguarding across both sites.

A strong leadership background and regulatory knowledge are essential. The role offers a permanent, full-time position with a joining bonus and extensive benefits, within a supportive residential leadership team.

• Ofsted-registered childrens home experience.
• Deep understanding of safeguarding and quality standards.
• Level 3 Diploma required; Level 5 leadership qualification preferred or willingness to complete.

• Build relationships with families, local authorities and safeguarding partners.
• Manage operational budgets exceeding £1 million.
• Collaborate with education, therapy, nursing and estates teams for integrated support.
• Contribute to strategic developments across residential services.

Salary: £54,705-£57,554 upon successful registration

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Set within 60 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, our charity has been delivering specialist care, education and support for over 120 years.

We are seeking two experienced and inspirational Registered Managers to lead our established Ofsted-registered children’s homes and play a key role within our Residential Leadership Team. About the Role

As Registered Manager, you will:

• Lead an Ofsted-registered children's home.

About You

You’re a confident, compassionate leader who thrives in a values-driven environment.

You understand what outstanding looks like - not just on paper, but in the everyday experiences of children and young people.

You'll bring:

• Proven experience managing an Ofsted-registered children's home.
• A deep understanding of safeguarding, quality standards, and reflective leadership.
• A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (and ideally a Level 5 Leadership qualification, or willingness to complete).
• Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
• The confidence to lead through change and inspire high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills.
