Registered Manager – Elderly Nursing Home (Ipswich)

Rota Support is acting on behalf of our client to recruit an experienced Registered Manager for their elderly nursing home located in Ipswich, a well-established, family-orientated nursing home providing high-quality nursing, residential and dementia care. The home is registered for 30 residents and currently operates with 25 bedrooms, allowing us to provide a personalised and resident-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible and effective leadership across the home.
• Promote a positive culture focused on dignity, respect and person‑centred care.
• Lead, motivate and develop the nursing, care and support teams.
• Work closely with the Clinical Lead Nurse/Deputy Manager to maintain clinical excellence.
• Ensure effective staff supervision, appraisals and performance management.

Desirable Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with active NMC registration.
• Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.
• Experience managing nursing and dementia services.
• Experience achieving Good or Outstanding CQC ratings.
• Budget management experience.

Working Hours, Employment Terms and Benefits

• £45,000–£60,000 salary dependent on experience.
• Performance‑related bonus.

• Full‑time position: 37.5 hours.
• Normal working hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm with 1 hour lunch break.
• Requirement to work 1 Saturday per month with time off in‑lieu.
