Job summary

Agincare Group in Beckton seeks an experienced Registered Manager to lead our CQC-registered Learning Disability respite service. You’ll take full operational ownership, drive high standards of care, and support a dedicated team to deliver safe, person-centred services that promote independence and inclusion.

Working closely with the Locality Manager, you will shape service delivery, ensure regulatory compliance, manage safeguarding concerns, incidents and complaints, and continuously improve

Qualifications

• Experience as Registered Manager or equivalent.
• Experience in respite services, learning disability sector.
• Strong knowledge of adult social care and CQC.
• Proven leadership and team management.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Flexible working hours.
• Right to work in the UK for at least 12 months.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our CQC-registered Learning Disability respite service in Beckton.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take full operational ownership of a well-established service, driving high standards of care and supporting a dedicated team to deliver safe, person-centred, and high-quality support.Working closely with the London Learning Disability Locality Manager, you will play a key role in shaping service delivery and ensuring positive outcomes for the people we support.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Delivering Outstanding Care
  Ensuring individuals receive personalised support that promotes independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion, with care plans that reflect their evolving needs.
• Driving Quality & Compliance
  Overseeing CQC registration and ensuring the 5 & 7 Horse Leaze service meets all regulatory and statutory requirements, maintaining safe, effective, and well-led services at all times.
• Leading & Developing Teams
  Providing day-to-day leadership to the staff team, ensuring effective management, clear direction, and ongoing support to maintain high standards of care and support delivery.
• Ensuring Accountability
  Managing safeguarding concerns, incidents, and complaints, while working closely with the Locality Manager to drive continuous improvement and ensure ongoing compliance across the service.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager is highly desirable.
• Demonstrable experience of working within a respite service, ideally within the Learning Disability sector.
• Strong understanding of the adult social care sector and relevant regulatory frameworks, including CQC requirements.
• Proven leadership and management experience with the ability to effectively oversee a service and staff team.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
• A flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of the service.
• A minimum of 12 months remaining on your Right to work in the UK.
