Connective Careers is recruiting for a Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home in Coventry. You will oversee day-to-day management, ensure safe care, and keep the child’s progress at the heart of home operations.

You will supervise the team, coordinate care planning, safeguard responses, and maintain quality assurance with strong records and calm, decisive leadership.

Qualifications

• Two years of residential childcare experience within the last five years, including at least one year supervising or managing staff.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, an equivalent qualification, or active progress towards it.
• Sound knowledge of safeguarding, children's home practice, care planning and Ofsted expectations.
• Confident leadership, clear written records and the ability to make calm, accountable decisions.

About the role

Take responsibility for the leadership and day-to-day management of a children's residential home in Coventry. You will create clear expectations for the team, maintain safe care and ensure that each child's needs and progress remain central to how the home operates.

Key responsibilities

Essential requirements

• Normally at least two years of residential childcare experience within the last five years, including at least one year supervising or managing staff.
• A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, an equivalent qualification, or active progress towards it.
• Sound knowledge of safeguarding, children's home practice, care planning and Ofsted expectations.
• Confident leadership, clear written records and the ability to make calm, accountable decisions.

Preferred

• A full driving licence is preferred.
• Experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager, including quality assurance and inspection preparation.
