Job summary

Discovery Care Group in the Thanet area is seeking a Registered Manager to lead a well-established care home. You will be responsible for overall management, regulatory compliance with CQC, and delivering high-quality person-centred care.

The role requires NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to study), strong leadership, budgeting and staff development, and excellent communication. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and career progression

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the care home
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care

• Manage staffing levels and rotas for adequate skill mix

Job Title: Registered Manager

Salary: £50,000 per annum

Job Type: Full time, permanent

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a well-established care home in the Thanet area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintaining the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the care home
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person centred care that meets the needs and preferences of residents
• Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, including CQC standards
• Lead, manage and develop the staff team to ensure a skilled, motivated and effective workforce
• Oversee care planning, risk assessments and documentation to ensure accuracy and quality
• Manage staffing levels and rotas to ensure appropriate skill mix and coverage
• Monitor and manage the homes budget and resources effectively
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of all residents
• Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families and external professionals
• Drive continuous improvement to maintain and enhance service quality

Requirements

• NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
• Previous experience as a Registered Manager or in a senior management role within a care setting
• String knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance frameworks
• Excellent leadership and organisational skills
• Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Competent in the use of IT systems and care management software
• A compassionate, professional and person-centred approach
