Job summary

Action for Children is seeking a Registered Manager for our therapeutic children’s home in Kilburn on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will lead a dedicated team, ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment for children with complex needs, while meeting regulatory requirements and driving high-quality care outcomes.

The role requires strategic leadership, safeguarding excellence, and collaboration with families and partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.

Qualifications

  • Two years’ experience in the last five years in residential childcare.
  • At least one year in an early leadership role guiding a team.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive service meeting diverse needs.
  • Experience with children/young people with complex needs and behaviours.
  • Demonstrable safeguarding practices and ability to apply them.

  • Create a safe, stable and nurturing home for children and young people.

Job description

Contract: Fixed Term – 12 Month Contract

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service.

Closing Date: Midnight on the 27th of August 2026
