Registered Intensive Care Nurse - South East London

Pulse are looking for registered and experienced Band 5 & 6 Registered Intensive Care Nurses near Westminster Bridge Rd, South East London. At Pulse, we understand that being a Intensive Care Nurse can be challenging. We’re here to help ITU Nurses like you navigate difficult situations and provide support through tough times, so you can focus on the job you love doing.

Get the freedom to work how you want, when you want with our flexible shifts available from Monday through to Sunday. With Pulse you can plan ahead with our block bookings, available to book up to 3 months in advance. Closest station will be London Bridge. PAYE £25- £33.00 Per Hour

What you will be doing as a Registered Intensive Care Nurse (ITU)
  • Plan, implement and evaluate care
  • Assist patients with their activities of daily living
  • Regular assessment and monitoring of patient's vital signs
  • Perform different types of observations and use of different monitoring systems
  • Use and ensure working function of varied medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, feeding pumps, monitors
  • Care for patient receiving invasive and non-invasive ventilation
  • Recognize patient deterioration and timely escalation of care
  • Communicate effectively with members of the multidisciplinary team, patients, and relatives
  • Work as part of a team
  • Make appropriate referrals and prepare patient for discharge or transfer
  • Keep accurate and timely patient records and follow local policies and procedures
