Job summary

Horizons Homecare Ltd in Lancaster and Morecambe is seeking an experienced Registered Manager (or deputy stepping up) to lead our newly established branch. You will guide a team of around 20 care staff and an office team with Area Manager support, contributing to governance, service quality and community impact.

You will work with Directors and remain part of Senior Leadership, driving improvements, staff development and strong client relationships within the local community.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership experience in domiciliary care, as a Registered Manager or deputy ready for greater responsibility.
• Practical understanding of safeguarding and CQC requirements to ensure high standards of care.
• Confident to support colleagues, address problems early and drive improvements.
• Strong organisational, communication and IT skills to manage a branch effectively.
• A relevant Level 5 qualification, or current study towards one.
• A full UK driving licence, access to your own vehicle and Business Class 1 insurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop a team that takes pride in delivering consistent, person-centred care.
• Oversee safe recruitment, induction, training, supervision and staff performance.
• Maintain CQC compliance through governance, accurate records and continuous improvement.
• Manage safeguarding concerns, complaints and operational challenges with sound judgement.
• Oversee care reviews, quality assurance and the safe daily running of the branch.
• Build strong relationships with clients, families and local partners to grow Horizons' reputation in Lancaster and Morecambe.
• Work with the wider leadership team to improve delivery of care and support staff.
