INDHEAL is seeking an experienced Registered Home Manager to lead an elderly residential care home in Herne Bay. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care, and strong regulatory compliance.

The role offers progression from Deputy Manager to Registered Manager and requires a proactive leader with excellent communication and safeguarding knowledge. Strong leadership will drive staff development and resident well-being.

Qualifications

  • Experience as Deputy Manager or Home Manager in elderly residential or nursing care.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification desired or in progress.

Responsibilities

  • Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home.
  • Provide strong leadership to the care and support team.
  • Ensure high standards of person-centred elderly care are consistently delivered.
  • Maintain compliance with CQC regulations, legislation and company policies.
  • Lead on safeguarding, care planning, risk management and quality assurance.
  • Monitor audits, inspections and action plans, driving continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, supervise, motivate and develop staff.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families and external professionals.
  • Manage complaints, incidents and concerns effectively.
  • Support occupancy, budgets and the overall performance of the home.
  • Promote dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing for all residents.

Registered Home Manager

Location: Herne Bay, Kent

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Home Manager to lead a residential care home in Herne Bay, Kent.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager looking to take the next step into a Registered Manager position, or an established Home Manager looking for a new challenge.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high standards of care, strong regulatory compliance and a positive environment for both residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home.
  • Provide strong leadership to the care and support team.
  • Ensure high standards of person-centred elderly care are consistently delivered.
  • Maintain compliance with CQC regulations, legislation and company policies.

About You
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Manager or Home Manager within a nursing or residential care setting.
  • Elderly care experience is essential.
  • Experience managing a care or nursing home is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance.
  • Confident leading and developing care teams.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care planning and quality assurance.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to identify and implement improvements.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Ideally holds, or is working towards, a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management.
The Opportunity

This role would suit an experienced Deputy Manager ready to progress into Registered Management, as well as an existing Registered Manager seeking a new opportunity within elderly residential care.
