Job summary

Medivet Group is seeking a Head Veterinary Nurse to help establish the day-to-day running of the clinic and drive high standards of patient care. You will lead nursing, support surgeries and develop nurse-led clinics, while delivering excellent client experiences and building a welcoming practice.

As a key leader, you’ll embed best practices, improve processes and foster a positive culture. This role offers substantial CPD, wellbeing benefits, and a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional care, lead nurse-led appointments and support consults, surgeries and procedures while complying with standards.
• Provide patient monitoring, care, admissions and discharges.
• Deliver outstanding client care and build strong client relationships.
• Provide clinical leadership, inspire and develop the nursing team.
• Work 36 hours per week, Mon–Fri across 4–5 days; some weekends at Kensington.
• Assist night teams during periods of increased caseload and on-call duty.

As our Head Veterinary Nurse, you'll be instrumental in establishing the day-to-day running of the clinic. What you’ll be doing

Typically, in this role, you’ll:

• Deliver exceptional care to patients, leading nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities, supporting consults, surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
• Deliver patient monitoring and care, and manage admissions and discharges
• Deliver exceptional care to your clients
• Provide clinical leadership, inspiration and development to the nursing team
• You also will be working 36 hours per week Mon-Fri over 4 or 5 days a week
• 1in6 Weekends in our 24H hospital at Kensington (Saturday and Sunday)
• To ensure that we deliver the best care to our clients , you would be supporting our 24H hospital over Bank holidays (2 Per year )
• You will assist our dedicated night teams during periods of increased caseload(2-3 weeks of On-call duty)

• Weekend and hospital work provides valuable exposure to more complex cases while giving you the opportunity to work alongside and build relationships with colleagues across the wider region.
