Job summary

SpaMedica's Doncaster Hospital is seeking a Registered General Nurse to join our team. The role focuses on medicines administration under NMC guidance, diagnostic tests, and post-operative care, with theatre-day admissions and discharges managed from a Doncaster base.

Applicants must hold a valid NMC PIN and have 6–12 months post-registration experience. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours over four of six days, 7:30am to 5:30pm, with NHS cataract surgery activity at the centre.

Responsibilities

• Undertake patient care in hospital, including diagnostic tests and post-operative care
• Administer medicines in line with NMC guidance on safe handling
• Admit and discharge patients on theatre days
• Support and mentor colleagues and new staff
• Maintain stock control, keeping par levels realistic and items available
• Protect patient confidentiality under the Data Protection Act and GDPR
