SpaMedica is hiring a Registered General Nurse to join the Carlisle Hospital cluster. The role involves administering medicines under NMC guidance, caring for patients through diagnostics and post-operative recovery, and supporting theatre-day admissions and discharges.

You will mentor colleagues, work full-time (37.5 hours across four of six days), and contribute to continuous training. DBS checks may be required and a 25-day holiday entitlement applies.

• DBS disclosure may be required.

This Registered General Nurse post with SpaMedica sits within its Carlisle Hospital cluster, which covers several sites and NHS eye care. The work covers administering medicines under NMC guidance, caring for patients through diagnostic tests and post-operative recovery, and running theatre-day admissions and discharges. The role is full-time at 37.5 hours over four of six days, with shifts from 7:30am to 5:30pm, and includes mentoring colleagues. Applicants need a valid NMC PIN and 6-12 months' post-registration experience, and the post requires a DBS check.

• Provide all patient care while in hospital, including diagnostic tests and post-operative care
• Administer medicines in line with NMC guidance on safe and secure handling
• Admit and discharge patients on theatre days
• Assist with stock control, keeping realistic par levels so items are available
• Protect patient confidentiality under the Data Protection Act and GDPR
• Support and mentor colleagues and new staff
