Job summary

Skycare in North Shields requires a Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) with care home experience to join our 44-hour weekly roster. Day and night shifts run 8am–8pm on 12-hour blocks, with a pay rate of £19–£20 per hour.

The role includes medication administration, team leadership and staff training in a supportive home environment. Applicants must hold a UK NMC PIN, have a clear DBS, and provide two references.

• Active UK NMC PIN and clear DBS.
• Two satisfactory references required.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and administer medication as prescribed with accurate records.
• Stock control and ordering of medicines and medical supplies.

About the home:

Built in 2002, Care Home is a 50-bed facility for residents who require nursing or personal care in North Shields; this can include elderly care for those with dementia, disorders or injuries.

ABOUT YOU:

• An RGN or RMN, with experience in a care home setting caring for older people.
• You will have a kind and caring approach with a passion for delivering the highest possible standard of care and support for the residents.
• You will have excellent communication skills
• You will work well within the team, leading, supporting and training junior staff members,
• You will have previous experience in motivating the team.
• You must have a UK Registered Nurse Qualification (RGN)
• Active UK NMC PIN
• Clear DBS And 2 satisfactory references

Here's some of your tasks:

• You will dispense and administer medication to residents as prescribed, accurately maintaining appropriate records
• You will carry out stock control and ordering of resident's prescribed medication and medical products
• You'll need to understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements that are relevant such as Health and Safety, COSHH, and all aspects of the care Standards Act.
