Job summary

Skycare is seeking a Night Registered Nurse for a North Shields care home. The role requires UK-based nurses with at least 2 years in a Nursing Home and mandatory UK Registered Nurse experience. Shifts are night-time 12 hours from 8pm to 8am, on a full-time basis.

Location: North Shields. The successful candidate will assess care needs, implement care plans, and administer medications, while supporting fellow staff and maintaining high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Previous working experience in a similar role (Night Nurse)
• Right to work in the UK
• UK Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with active NMC pin

Responsibilities

• Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate care plans under Head Nurse guidance
• Maintain accurate health records and medications administration
• Supervise or train other care team members when required
• Monitor quality of care and safety, interact with residents to address needs
• Attend relevant staff meetings and provide concise handovers

Night Registered Nurse

Only UK based nurses with 2 years experience in Nursing Home

One year UK Registered Nurse experience is mandatory!

• Full-time, 36-48 hours per week
• Night shifts,12-hour shifts, 8pm-8am
• Pay rate is £20 per hour

About the home:

This Care Home has 64 large, single, ensuite rooms that allow residents to enjoy as much privacy as they'd like at all times. Our experienced staff are fully qualified (qualifications include Health & Social Care levels 2-3, Registered Mental Health Nurses and more) to look after residents with dementia, tailoring their care to each individual's need. Our staff are also equipped to deal with a variety of health issues, such as:

Nurse Job Role

To be responsible for the assessment of the care needs of patients and the development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans under the direction of the Head Nurse, thereby ensuring that a high standard of care is delivered.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports
• Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for side effects / reactions
• Prescribing assistive medical devices and related treatments
• To be able to supervise, develop and teach other care team members
• Monitoring standards of care delivered to our residents
• Ensuring all Day staff on your shift contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Home
• Ensuring resident needs are being met by interacting with them, resolving any problems where appropriate
• Reporting any ill-health amongst residents and making requests for GP/Professional visits when needed
• Preparing, updating and evaluating Resident Care Plans
• General Nursing work and personal care as appropriate
• Attend relevant staff meetings
• Advise the Registered Care Manager of any incidents/accidents
• Ensuring there is a clear and concise handover at every shift
