Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian for its healthcare team at the John J. Kane Regional Center - Scott. The role focuses on assessing nutritional needs, initiating interventions, and enhancing residents' quality of life in a hospital/long-term care setting.

You will work onsite with the care team, educating staff and patients, adhering to professional standards, and contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the facility.

Qualifications

• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years using the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents' rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' standards and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining and nutrition.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced registered dietitian to our healthcare team in Pittsburgh. As a registered dietitian, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals.
