Job summary

Shire Healthcare, in partnership with a children's services provider, seeks a permanent Registered Manager for a residential home in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. You will oversee care plans reflecting emotional, educational, social, therapeutic, and cultural needs.

Hours are 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with progression opportunities for an experienced Registered Manager or a Deputy stepping up. Benefits include a bonus scheme and funding for required qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in leadership roles within residential care
• Ability to develop and monitor care plans for children
• Strong budgeting and staff management skills
• Knowledge of statutory/Procedural frameworks for residential care

Responsibilities

• Ensure each child has a care plan reflecting emotional, care, education, social, therapeutic, and cultural needs.
• Play a key role in external audits.
• Allocate each young person a Key Worker responsible for implementing their care plan.
• Build relationships with parents, carers and professionals involved in the child's support.
• Manage budgets effectively and in line with policy.
• Ensure staffing levels and competencies meet home requirements.
• Ensure induction for new staff and personal development plans for all staff.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of statutory frameworks and communicate to the team.
• Take overall responsibility for the service and be the main point of contact for third-party organisations and governing bodies.

Job description

We are working in partnership with a provider of children’s services and have a permanent opportunity for a Registered Manager based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

If successful, you will be overseeing a home that provides support to children with EBD.

This is a permanent position working Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.

This role is open to experienced Registered Managers or Deputy Managers ready to take the next step.

As a Registered Manager your main responsibilities will include:

• Ensure each child has a care plan which reflects their emotional, care, education, social, therapeutic, and cultural needs.
• Play a key role in all external audits.
• Allocate each young person a Key Worker who is responsible for the implementation of their care plan.
• Build relationships with parents, carers, and other professionals in relation to the support provided to each child.
• Manage budgets effectively and in line with company policy.
• Ensure staffing levels and competencies meet the requirements of the home and its residents.
• Ensure new staff receive an induction and that each member of staff has a personal development plan.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the statutory and procedural framework for residential care and communicate this to the wider team.
• Overall responsibility for the service and the main point of contact for third-party organisations and governing bodies.
