Job summary

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking a Registered Children\'s Home Manager to lead a brand new residential service in central Birmingham. The role requires overseeing care, quality standards, and inspections to ensure safe, compliant operation.

The successful candidate will hold a Level 5 Diploma or be enrolled for completion within 12 months, with extensive experience in children\'s residential care and Ofsted frameworks. 37.5 hours weekly, salary £60,000–£65,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience as a registered manager in children’s residential care.
• Sound knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards.
• Ability to prepare for inspections and drive quality improvement.
• Strong safeguarding and trauma-informed care practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day care, supervision, and quality assurance across the home.
• Prepare for interim and full Ofsted inspections and implement improvements.
• Ensure SCR is maintained and staff records are up to date.
• Oversee premises compliance, safety checks, and record systems.
• Deliver induction and ongoing training for safeguarding and trauma-informed care.
